The Family Law Consultants aim to provide a clear pricing system. It is important to us that you fully understand the likely cost of your proceedings at what can be a difficult time.
It is for this reason that we can offer a number of “package” prices, this is where you pay a set fee for a certain legal action or you can opt to be charged hourly (this way you pay for the exact amount of time we spend on your file). |
Hourly Rate: |
| Our solicitors (“lawyers”) charge an hourly rate of: £175.00 + VAT ( a total of £205.63). |
How the hourly rate works:
An hour is broken down into 10 units, each unit being 6 minutes long. Each unit is charged at £17.50 + VAT. |
| Examples of items which are likely to be 1 unit: |

Letters written or received taking up to 1 page. |

Telephone calls made or received lasting 6 minutes or less. Emails sent. |

| Examples of items which are likely to be more than 1 unit: |

Long Letters written or received (will be charged at 1 unit per page). |

Long Telephone calls made or received (will be charged at 1 unit per every 6 minutes). |

Time spent with you for example during interview or at court (will be charged 1 unit per every 6 minutes) e.g. if you have an appointment lasting 36 minutes you will be charged for 6 units of work equating to £105 + VAT). |

(If you choose to be charged on an hourly rate you will be billed at monthly intervals and each bill will be accompanied by a breakdown of work done for you) |
