Conveyancing

At Family Law Consultants we offer an exclusive conveyancing service. Conveyancing is effectively the legal process of dealing with a property. This transaction may have arisen as a result of your divorce, relationship breakdown or just a desire to move on. All our conveyancing transactions are dealt with by one of our fully qualified solicitors, so you can be sure that one of your most precious assets is in safe hands.

Property Transfer with a Remortgage:

Legal Fees - £350.00
VAT - £61.25

In addition to this there will be a number of disbursements, these are items that we pay for on your behalf. You may require all or some of the following items: Local search or a no search indemnity policy, Bankruptcy search, Land Registry Fee, Bank Transfer fee and possibly Stamp Duty.

We are happy to provide a full estimate of our charges upon receiving full details of the transaction from you.

Property Transfer with no mortgage
or existing mortgage:

Legal Fees - £250.00
VAT - £43.75

In addition to this there will be a number of disbursements, you may require all or some of the following items:
  • Bankruptcy search
  • Land Registry Fee
  • Bank Transfer fee
  • Stamp Duty
We are happy to provide a full estimate of our charges upon receiving full details of the transaction from you.

Sale of a freehold property:

Legal Fees - £500.00
VAT - £87.50
OCE - £6.00 (Not required where there is a HIPS pack)

In addition to this it is likely that there will be a Bank Transfer fee.

Sale of a Leasehold property:

Legal Fees - £600.00
VAT - £105.00
OCE - £6.00

In addition to this it is likely that there will be a Bank Transfer fee.

Purchase:

The legal fees in relation to the purchase of a property are dependant on the purchase price of the property that you are buying.

In addition to the legal fees there will be a number of disbursements that you may require. You may need all or some of the following items: Searches (these will vary depending on the HIPS pack), Bankruptcy search, Completion searches, Land Registry Fee, Bank Transfer fee and Stamp Duty for purchase of £175,001.00 and over.

Our Fees:

  • Purchase Price between £0.00 to £125,000.00
    Legal Fees - £450.00
    VAT - £78.75
  • Purchase price between £125,001.00 to £250,000.00
    Legal Fees - £600.00
    VAT - £105.00
  • Purchase price between £250,001.00 to £500,000.00
    Legal Fees - £750.00
    VAT - £131.25
  • Purchase Price in excess of £500,001.00
    For properties with a purchase price in excess of £500,001.00 please contact us and we shall be happy to provide you with an individual quote.
    In all cases a full written estimate of our charges will be provided upon receiving full details of the transaction from you.
